Service Description
Ready to keep building your pottery skills and start exploring more of your own creative ideas? Throw's Continuing Wheel Course is for students who have completed a beginner pottery class, or who have some previous wheel throwing experience and feel comfortable with the basics. You do not need to be an expert! If you’ve spent some time centering clay, pulling walls, trimming, and making simple forms on the wheel, then you're ready to continue learning with us in this course. Over eight weeks, you’ll build on the skills you already have while exploring new ways to shape, alter, combine, and finish your work. As the course progresses, you’ll have more opportunities to experiment with your own ideas and work toward projects that reflect your personal style. Throughout the course, we’ll explore intermediate techniques such as altered forms, handles and feet, combining thrown pieces, multi-part forms, glazing, and independent projects. Specific projects and demonstrations may vary based on the class and instructor. Final pieces are typically ready for pickup approximately 2–3 weeks after the final class. The studio will email you when your work is ready. What’s Included - Eight weeks of guided instruction All clay, tools, and materials Studio glazes, or bring your own with approval Open studio practice time
