Where are you located?

130 Jackson Plaza, Ann Arbor, MI. We are on the Homes Campus, which offers food, drinks, and indoor/outdoor workspaces. Our studio is a warehouse space in the back parking lot of this campus. We are near the exit of the additional parking for the campus; look for our signs!

When is open studio?

When you are enrolled in one of our wheel throwing courses, you can come in during our open studio times to practice with your clay. During open studio, an instructor may or may not be available to assist you. 
You can come in for additional practice times on:Wed-Fri 2:30-8:30 PM Sat/Sun 12-5 PM

Courses at Throw are generally for ages 16+.

What will I learn?

You will learn Hand-Building basics through two in-depth projects covering slab and coil construction. You will also learn about glaze chemistry, the differences between glaze & underglaze, and the differences between raw clay, bisque pottery, & fired ceramics.

Question 5

What will I keep?

Accepted Answer

The goal of the course is to complete two projects; one with coil, and one with slab. There is no guarantee of the completion of these pieces at the end of the course, but the course is designed around having you complete these items. There will be notifications about deadlines for wet work and glazing.

When will I get my items?

Accepted Answer

You will get back your glaze fired ceramic projects approximately 3 weeks after the final class.
