Host an Event
Group Pottery Events in Ann Arbor
Throw Art Studio hosts private pottery sessions for corporate groups, student organizations, birthday parties, family gatherings, and scout troops. Choose between pottery painting for all ages or wheel throwing for participants ages 13 and up.
Wheel throwing is available for up to 20 people; painters can book groups of up to 30. Ages 10–12 may wheel throw in small groups of six or fewer. Mixed activity events are welcome, with some guests painting and others throwing.
No experience is needed. Instructors provide all materials, guidance, and firing. We can tailor the setup to your group’s needs, whether you're planning a team-building event, a creative birthday, or a student outing.
Booking, Setup, and What to Expect
Our studio includes seating, music, and space for food or decorations. You're welcome to bring your own food and drinks, or work with nearby cafés and breweries that offer food, beverages, or catering options. Larger groups may have access to additional indoor or outdoor flex space. Full pricing is listed in our downloadable brochures.
Event Size Requirements & Pricing
Private Pottery Painting or Wheel throwing events require at least 6 people to reserve our space. Wheel Throwing is $60 per participant. Pottery painting is the price of your chosen items. If you are reserving for a time outside of our regular open studio hours, a $100 deposit will be required that goes towards your final balance.
