Standard Membership Open Studio Hours

Wheel Throwing Membership

This membership is built for people who already have pottery experience and want a well-equipped space to keep making work on their own schedule. You bring your own skills and use the studio, wheels, tools, and kilns to make what you want!

How to Join as a Member

1. Have at least the experience equivalent to an intermediate pottery course in either handbuilding or wheel throwing.

2. Inquire about membership using the form on this page, and share any past ceramics experience you have.

​

3. Complete our "Welcome to Throw" Member prerequisite course. This course is 4 sessions, $200, and offered monthly. This is required for both tiers.

4. After your "Welcome to Throw" course concludes, choose a Standard or Deluxe Membership and start making with us! ​​

Throw Membership Tiers

Throw Standard -

$150/month
 

  • Studio access during open studio hours

  • Bisque firings included

  • 1 cubic foot of glaze firing per month

  • 1 guest pass per month

  • Full use of wheel throwing and handbuilding tools

  • Personal storage area for glazes, tools, and in-progress work

  • Separate clay storage and shared reclaim area

  • 10% off workshops and pottery painting​​

​Throw Deluxe -

$250/month

 

Everything in Standard, plus:

​

  • 24/7 studio access (not limited to open studio hours)

  • 2 cubic feet of glaze firing per month total

  • 4 guest passes per month total

Glaze firing beyond your monthly allowance is billed at $0.02/cubic inch and doesn't roll over. Extra guest passes are $10/visit; guests can only visit during open studio hours.

Welcome to Throw Course

This 4 week course meets once per week to showcase safe equipment use, review studio procedures, & explain expectations for Throw members.

    • 1 additional cubic foot of glaze firing (2 cubic feet total)
    • 3 additional guest passes per month** (4 total)

*Glaze firing beyond 1 cubic foot per month will be charged at $0.02 per cubic inch. Glazing allocation does not roll-over through months.

**Additional guest passes can be purchased for $10 per visit. Guests are only allowed in the studio during operating hours. Guests must sign a liability waiver before working in the studio. Guest passes do not roll-over through months.
