Service Description

Our 4 session Teen beginner pottery course covers the basics of clay preparation, wheel throwing, & trimming twice per week. Help your teen find their new passion this Summer in our welcoming and beginner-friendly space. This is a great educational & social experience to pair with the new school year! INCLUDED: All materials Expert instruction 6-8 finished pieces (1 tray) Free makeup sessions Open studio time Wednesday-Sunday 1-3 PM Missing a day of class? No problem! Schedule a make-up session with us during the week and we will give you a catch-up lesson. Please try to make the scheduled lessons for the best class experience. Our studio is located on the Homes Campus, which offers excellent food & drinks. Feel free to step outside for a break to enjoy the sunshine and bring your drinks back inside the studio. The course schedule is: Class 1 - Clay preparation, posture, studio cleanliness, centering & coning clay Class 2 - Pulling walls, wheel practice. Goal: Pull a cylinder. Class 3 - Throwing practice, pulling forms (cup, bowl) Class 4 - Trimming techniques, centering pieces for trimming In the last session, students will submit their finished pieces & choose a glaze for the studio to finish the items with. Pieces will be returned approximately 4 weeks after the last session ends.


Cancellation Policy

Purchases of wheel throwing or painting courses can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 5 days before the planned start date of the course. For students in our wheel throwing or painting courses who cannot attend one or more planned sessions, we cannot guarantee makeup sessions with instructor guidance. If you plan on missing a session, please let your instructor know.
